Surat, Nov 05: Le Meridien Surat announces the appointment of Satyajeet Mondal as Executive Chef and Abhay Tandel as Director of Food & Beverage, strengthening its leadership team with extensive expertise in culinary innovation, dining operations and guest experience.
With over 19 years of culinary experience, Satyajeet Mondal joins Le Meridien Surat, having previously held leadership positions at renowned hospitality brands, including Le Meridien Paro Riverfront and Sheraton Grand Palace Indore. A recipient of the Manager of the Year 2021 award and winner of the APEC International Chef’s Day competition in 2023, he brings a strong focus on contemporary cuisine, menu innovation and culinary excellence. At Le Meridien Surat, he aims to blend global culinary influences with Gujarat’s rich food heritage through thoughtfully curated menus and distinctive dining experiences, with the ambition of establishing the hotel as a benchmark culinary destination in the region.
Abhay Tandel brings over 14 years of hospitality experience, most recently serving as Associate Director of Food & Beverage at Courtyard by Marriott Surat. His professional journey includes JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu, Kochi Marriott Hotel, Renaissance Ahmedabad Hotel and Courtyard by Marriott Ahmedabad. Recognised with the Banqueting Manager of the Year award at the Hotelier India Awards 2018, along with Gold Circle and Diamond Circle honours, Tandel will focus on strengthening dining concepts, enhancing service standards and driving business performance. His vision is to establish Le Meridien Surat as a distinctive dining destination by introducing engaging culinary concepts, fostering meaningful guest relationships and creating personalised experiences that encourage guests to return.
